Biography:
I spent the first six years of my academic career as a student of mechanical engineering and then abruptly changed course to pursue mathematics in graduate school. My interest in signal processing led me in the direction of applied harmonic analysis and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study wavelet theory under Professor Guido Weiss at Washington University. After completing my dissertation in 2002, I spent one year in a post-doctoral position at the Georgia Institute of Technology before joining the faculty at Saint Louis University.
