Hi Christina. Good to see you've been able to get the PREP wiki working, and thanks for starting your user page. I'm writing this on your User talk page, which you can see by clicking "my talk" in the links at the top of the wiki page. When someone writes to your talk page, you get an automatically generated email alert from the wiki server, so it's a convenient way to communicate with other participants in the workshop.

It's pretty exciting to have an art expert on board, since we've come at this as mathematicians and often have to hope we get our art correct. Of course, my comfort level increased when I talked about, say, Picasso, and found that plenty of freshmen don't know anything about his work.

We're kind of zooming through the mathematics, but you can get a lot of it from the Math & Escher wiki, where it's explained at a comfortable pace. And don't hesitate to ask questions, especially in the small groups.

See you tomorrow!

Hi Tina. I'm interested in Ancient Art as a link to mathematics as well. We should talk about that a some point. I started out a bit with the ancient Egypt materials, but that really will take a lot more work to have it classroom ready. It wou be interesting to hear what your ideas are. Thanks for your comments! I am learning and getting inspired about new ways to look at Math and Ancient Art. I plan to look at the Egyptian material tonight. I spent my last sabbatical becoming more of an Egyptologist but I have not looked much at Egyptian mathematics. --Christina 21:10, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
